Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Backend Engineer to join Timberhub’s product team. You will be working with a cross-functional team consisting of a product manager, designers & engineers, in building high-impact solutions to solve complex user needs. You will have full ownership of tech projects and drive change through architecture, product implementation, and application of technology in an old-fashioned industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and ship features as well as improve the existing product 
  • Implement and consume APIs and web services
  • Manage database systems (Relational databases & NoSQL)
  • Understand user needs and contribute to the development process
  • Write clean, maintainable, efficient code, and do code reviews, mentored by a senior engineer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar experience
  • 3+ years of experience in software development
  • Good understanding of software design patterns and principles
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
