Marketing Communications Internship

Summary
As our new Marketing & Communications Intern, you are seeking to dive right in and learn what it's like to run marketing and communications for a biotech startup. You will support the team in strategic decision making and take the lead in the execution of our content marketing. Your weekly activities will involve managing our social media, website and press releases, while the dynamic startup environment offers you more exciting opportunities to explore almost daily. We are seeking a motivated and creative marketer that can help us increase the awareness of our sustainable palm oil alternative in the food and cosmetic industry.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for social media, including creating and posting content and engaging with followers and industry influencers.
- Manage and support other communication activities, like the website and B2B events.
- Design strategic and appealing content, like articles, press releases, video’s, infographics, brochures, etcetera.
- Tracking, reporting, and analyzing marketing data to measure the success of our social media presence and make recommendations for adjustments.
- Help strategize and find new ways to increase our brand awareness.
- Assist in the development and management of relationships with key stakeholders in the food and cosmetics industries, including manufacturers, retailers, and industry associations.
- Working closely with the product development team to ensure that marketing messages are aligned with product features and benefits.
- Coordinating with external vendors to ensure that all marketing materials are delivered on time and on budget.
- Provide general support to the Marketing and Communications Manager as needed.

- Is currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program (HBO/WO) in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Has strong writing skills, with the ability to create compelling and engaging content
- Is familiar with social media platforms and basic knowledge of social media marketing strategies
- Can work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
- Has the flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Has a passion for sustainability and making a positive impact on the world
- English is mandatory
