Summary

A contractor company specialised in interior fit out (office interiors, drylining, ceilings and partitions) mainly for commercial and data center projects - is seeking to recruit a Project Manager to join the team in Amsterdam. Candidates must have solid experience in project management within a similar environment although their current role may be at senior engineer / project engineer / construction manager level. Experience of large fit out projects is essential, with data center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project budget within the budgeted amount
  • Manage daily operations of construction projects from start to finish including communication with subcontractors and vendors on issues that may occur
  • Gather client input and make recommendations on design elements and materials to be used for the project
  • Manage the hiring of contractors, subcontractors, architects and engineers in order to complete the project on time and within budget
  • Ensure that all building codes and ordinances are followed through the construction process
  • Estimate costs and manage budgets using computer software using Excel or Access
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers on project design issues
  • Manage all aspects of interior fit-out construction projects from start to finish including scheduling and budgeting for materials and labor costs
  • Coordinate with clients to address any issues during project development phase

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in the construction industry with strong experience in project engineering, construction management, project management role
  • Experience in project management of fit-out projects
  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related field
  • Strong track record in project completion
