This PhD position explores how cities globally respond to the risk of extreme water scarcity ("Day Zero" events). The research analyzes policy responses, risk perceptions, and societal adaptations in six cities (Bogotá, Mexico City, Barcelona, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Cape Town). The successful candidate will conduct policy document analysis, interviews, and surveys to understand how risk images influence urban responses to water scarcity.
